The [Silverside] is an intercity bus created in the mid-1930s by Yellow Coach for Greyhound Line, one of the largest long-distance bus companies.
- Mass production at the Pontiac West Assembly Plant in Pontiac, Michigan, where General Motors has built pickups and trucks since 1939.
- PD-375 used corrugated aluminum and plastic materials extensively in its construction.
- This bus, along with Ford vehicles and Boeing aircraft, is one of the symbols of the United States and embodies the key technological advances that made this country so great in the first half of the 20th century.
