Naval warfare during Julius Caesar's reign was fought mostly by ramming and boarding enemy ships. This 1/72 scale model from Academy represents a Roman bireme typical of the type used during the Gallic Wars and the Invasion of Britain. These ships soundly defeated the Veneti Navy and proved the Roman Navy could operate successfully outside of the Mediterranean Ocean. The finished model is 33cm long.
